I’m a research queen when it comes to your bang for the buck. \u00a0I start with Yelp but then I cross reference with tripadvisor just to make sure the reviews are consistent. \u00a0I follow up by checking out rates, deals and of course the websites. (Yes, I’m this obsessive).<\/p>\n

I yelped and saw mediocre hotels\/B&B’s in Eureka. \u00a0I had booked a B&B but then did step 2. \u00a0Unfortunately the reviews weren’t consistent so then I started browsing even deeper on tripadvisor. \u00a0With that being said I stumbled on Bayfront one condos here:<\/p>\n

Hmm… this look appealing. \u00a0Back to step 1. \u00a0Shoot no yelp review. \u00a0Onto step 3:<\/p>\n

Hmm.. now I’m intrigued. \u00a0I bit the bullet without a Yelp review (shocker!) booked through the site\/email and showed up.<\/p>\n

I can’t emphasize how great the place was. \u00a0We did the 2 br (R1). \u00a0It was clean, new appliances, cable TV, comfy beds, gas FIREPLACE (clutch in winter) and cute little deck. \u00a0R1 is on the end so the views probably are better in the 1br which is directly facing the water. \u00a0Regardless, the location was great. \u00a0Right in Old Town next to a bunch of restaurants, shops and the Co-op. \u00a0Great place to cook but also conveniently located to go out. \u00a0It’s always wonderful to have a place to just “hang out” while on vacation.<\/p>\n

Do note that it is a condo, so we could hear the other members of our party while they were int he kitchen and we were in our bedroom but wasn’t too big of a deal.<\/p>\n

HIGHLY recommend staying here. \u00a0Place was great, Kirsten was awesome to deal with, and the whole process went extremely smooth.<\/p>\n<\/div>

This is our third stay, and it has been as enjoyable and comfortable as the first two.\u00a0 We always look forward to our visit and are planing to return in June\/July.\u00a0 We are especially grateful to Kirsten [management staff] who has been so responsive to our requests.<\/p>\n<\/div>

We once again enjoyed our 30-day stay at Bayfront.\u00a0 Our time here in June was as wonderful as our time in November\/December.\u00a0 We tell everyone that we stay at the best place in Eureka, certainly the one with the best view of the bay and the nicest furnishings.<\/p>\n<\/div>

My wife and I have stayed at rentals up and down the coast of California, Oregon, and Washington, and this is our very favorite.\u00a0 It’s an immaculate, private, cozy space complete with full kitchen, high ceilings, jacuzzi, gas fireplace, and a deck overlooking the absolutely enchanting Eureka marina.<\/p>\n

It was the beginning of crab season during our recent stay, and all day and night boats were quietly slipping their way in and out of the harbor.\u00a0 It’s in the heart of Downtown-Old Town Eureka, and you’re literally a half a block away from all the magical Victorian shops…books, clothes, romantic restaurants, a world-class brew pub (The Lost Coast Brewery), a co-op grocery, shoes, gifts, chocolates, and so much more.<\/p>\n

You may hear the clip-clop of the horse and carriage that awaits you for a wondrous tour; their tour takes them right outside your window.\u00a0 If you’re into bird-and-people-and-dog-watching, there is a nonstop show right beneath your deck, pelicans and seagulls and grebes and yes, the occasional sea lion, all happy to be in this paradisical place.<\/p>\n

This morning we were treated to the sight of a rainbow over two crews rowing in their shell.\u00a0 And of course, Zoltar will be happy to tell your fortune from his booth in front of the candy shop just beneath you!\u00a0 Five stars!<\/p>\n<\/div>

On New Year’s Eve my wife Cricket and I stayed at the wonderful Bayfront One, unit R3.\u00a0 What a wonderful experience and opportunity afforded us that evening.\u00a0 The unit had a bottle of Champagne hanging on the door when we arrived, even though we had brought some for the special evening.\u00a0 The unit was exquisite, and fit our needs for the evening perfectly.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The condo was delightful! All the family enjoyed the location and comforts that came with it. What a beautiful setting on Eureka’s waterfront and just steps away from great food, bay cruises, and the true beauty of Humboldt bay. My wife, LeAnne and I have been delighted to be the first occupants of R3 at One F street. \u00a0We have been here from Feb. 11 to May 3, 2008 on a work assignment. \u00a0The location is the best in town with beautiful vistas of the waterfront….<\/p>\n

Most impressive to us, as we are full time travellers, were the amenities ranging from the large screen HDTV, DVD player to the radio with docking for LeAnne’s I pod…<\/p>\n

We enthusiastically recommend R3 for a couple or small family for a weekend or longer stay. The couch is a very comfortable convertable double bed. \u00a0We also want to thank the staff at Bayfront, especially Greg for your unfailing assistance in so many ways that made our stay a memorable one.<\/p>\n
